Oh, I suppose it's time to update my profile again, since I stopped being a grad student and actually graduated. I am a would-be librarian (got the degree, still trying for an actual job), a house-daughter (i.e., I cook and clean) and caretaker for a sick parent, and sometimes a substitute teacher (please, phone, please ring today!).
I am also a geek who loves reading, role-playing games, computer games, singing, and all things fibery.

In case you're wondering about my slightly grim journal title, here is the slightly less grim source:
About friending Or, "It's really more of a guideline than a rule."
In short, feel free. The vast majority of my journal is public, and I don't anticipate that changing anytime soon. I typically don't friend anyone without asking them first. If you let me know you're friending me and I know you through a community, chances are I'll friend you back. Same thing if you don't tell me you're friending but comment a lot. If you don't say anything and don't comment much I probably won't friend you. Nothing personal, I probably just won't realize you're there.
While I like comments as much as anyone and I encourage you to comment (I do like to get to know people), don't feel like you have to. I will never defriend you because you "don't comment enough." I hope to receive the same courtesy. I don't always have time to read my whole f-list, much less comment on absolutely everything.
I don't have anything new to keep a ticker for, so I'll just leave the old one.
